FAQS

1. What should I expect during my first visit to a chiropractic clinic?

Our mission at Be Active Chiropractic is to provide truly individualized care. That is why you will receive a thorough examination during your first visit, which may include diagnostic testing and postural analysis. You will also help us understand your unique health history, your current health condition, and the benefits you expect to receive from chiropractic care. Treating you well begins with knowing you well!

2. How long does a typical chiropractic appointment last?

The average chiropractic session lasts 30 to 60 minutes. Because it includes a comprehensive assessment, your initial visit to Be Active Chiropractic will take longer than one hour. Follow-up appointments are shorter, as they focus on specific treatments and evaluating progress.

3. Are chiropractic adjustments painful?

Chiropractic adjustments typically are not painful. For most patients, the only perceptible results of adjustment are relief from pain and increased mobility. You may hear popping sounds while you are receiving treatment – a common occurrence when gas bubbles are released from joints.

4. How often should I schedule chiropractic appointments?

The severity of your condition, your unique health goals, and the professional opinion of your doctor all determine how often you will be advised to receive chiropractic care. Acute issues are typically treated during frequent visits. Once the condition stabilizes, treatment frequency will decrease to the minimum required for a maintenance or wellness plan that promotes long-term health.

5. Is chiropractic care covered by insurance?

Many insurance plans cover chiropractic care, at least to some extent. Be Active Chiropractic recommends contacting your insurance provider if you would like greater detail on the specifics of your policy. We are also available to help you verify your insurance benefits, as well as explore alternative payment options as needed. We welcome you to contact us today if you wish to discuss financing and payment plans!
